Case Study

Needs

Renée, a Caribbean company established in 1963, wanted to conduct their own energy accounting on its building, “LA RUCHE,”to optimize their:

Global energy expenses

101 716 €/year

(or 412 354 kWh/year)

Vehicle
fleet’s gas consumption

4 429 €/year (or 5 437 L/year).

Solutions

Energaya studied the possibility to build and use photovoltaics as a private energy source, through a feasibility study, an improvement program, and an economic report.

Step 1: Feasibility study

Energaya analyzed the company’s avenues to build and exploit a photovoltaics power station on "LA RUCHE" site.

Step 2: Improvement program and economic report

Build a photovoltaic power station

To reduce the site’s energy spendings.

Cost: 126 520 €

Savings: 30.34 % of the current energy spendings

Emissions avoided : 83.89 tons/year of CO2 (30.34 %)

Results

With an initial investment at 5 250 €, our mission enabled Renée to save money. As a first step, we analyzed their electricity consumption and adjusted their utility contract accordingly. Our suggestions allowed them to recuperate the cost of the entire study in less than a year.
